Here are some of the stories RTO Insider plans on having for you next week: 


In ISO-NE, Jon Lamson will report on the three-day NEPOOL Markets Committee meeting that figures to discuss RCA updates, FCA changes and Order 2222 compliance. 


John Norris will record the details from New York Gov. Hochul’s State of the State Address, which will outline the state’s agenda and priorities for 2024. John will also check in to see what the NYISO Interconnection Issues Task Force and the New York State Reliability Council Executive Committee has to offer. 


Devin Leith-Yessian will check in on three PJM committee meetings. The MIC will continue discussions on how energy efficiency resources participate in the capacity market, while the RTO will present a summary on the progress it has made on implementing the 30 recommendations in its report on Winter Storm Elliott to the OC. The PC will hold a first read of proposed updates to manuals 14B and 14F to include Long Term Regional Transmission Planning language. 


Tom Kleckner will tune into a Texas RE discussion with NERC and ERCOT guest speakers on recently released reliability assessments and the outlook they give for the Texas Interconnection. 


Ayla Burnett will have a story on the CAISO Greenhouse Gas Coordination Working Group, which tracks incremental changes in how greenhouse gases will be accounted for/priced in the implementation of the EDAM. 


Holden Mann will follow along with a webinar entitled “Grid in Peril: The Transmission Crisis and its Effects on National Security,” where Rep. Paul Tonko (D-N.Y.) will join speakers from Americans for a Clean Energy Grid and the Department of Energy to discuss the need for transmission investments in the North American electric grid. 


K Kaufmann will also listen in on a Department of Energy public listening session to gather input on its recently released draft of a national definition of a “net zero building.”
