Happy New Year to all my RTO Insider readers out there, and welcome back to the 2024 version of your daily morning updates. 

I hope everyone had a great holiday and Santa brought them everything they asked for. Making a list wasn’t the easiest thing in the world for me this year. In fact, I didn’t even make one. I am fortunate enough at the age of 40 that, if I really want or need anything, I just go out and buy it. Coming up with random things that I will never wear or that will clutter my house doesn’t make sense to me. So, I just asked for money … and then bought myself a PlayStation 5! I have played video games since I was 5 years old and will probably do so until the day I die, and I feel 0.0% ashamed to admit it. 

Meanwhile, New Year’s Eve consisted of a night in watching the ball drop with my wife and daughter while we let my son sleep. Oh, how things have changed. That said, I did feel a lot less hungover in the morning! 

With that, we will get into today’s RTO Insider news, and I will begin my run of satirical emails tomorrow.
