Here are some of the stories RTO Insider plans on having for you next week:

In ISO-NE, Jon Lamson will cover the Planning Advisory Committee meeting, as well as a two-day meeting of the NEPOOL Reliability Committee, which will discuss the methodology for resource capacity accreditation.

John Norris will follow along with some NYISO committees, including the Business Issues Committee, the Operating Committee and the Transmission Planning Advisory Subcommittee/Electric System Planning Working Group. The BIC will vote on enhanced fast-start pricing, while the OC will vote on LCR determinations.

Amanda Durish Cook will have a story on the MISO Resource Adequacy Subcommittee and its discussion on its proposed new capacity accreditation for resources.

Tom Kleckner will report on the SPP Markets and Operations Policy Committee as it considers resource adequacy issues, the generator interconnection queue and a congestion-hedging policy.

Meanwhile, the Texas PUC will take up ERCOT’s proposed rule change that sets a one-hour state-of-charge for batteries participating in two ancillary services.

Ayla Burnett will look into the CAISO Resource Adequacy Design and Modeling Working Group and its incremental changes in the ISO’s process of updating its resource adequacy program. There will also be the first in a series of joint meetings of DOE’s Grid Deployment Office and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management to discuss West Coast offshore wind transmission planning needs.

NERC’s Standards Committee will discuss ongoing standards development projects concerning issues including physical and cyber security, and energy assurance, which Holden Mann will cover.

And finally, our avengers will assemble to cover FERC’s monthly open meeting. We’ll also be keeping an eye on the weather and what it does, if anything, to the grid.

The details on all the meetings above can be found on our calendar

The RTO Insider team will also have a bunch of other news, so be sure to check out the website and our daily emails throughout the week!
