“You get some lottery winnings! You get some lottery winnings! And you get some lottery winnings!” 

I feel like that’s what it was like when a group of 30 current and former workers at a Kentucky middle school hit a $1 million Powerball prize late last month. The group, who have been pooling their money and playing the same numbers since 2019, finally hit a second-place prize on Jan. 27 that was good for a cool million. Each person of the “Jones 30” took home $24,000 after taxes. 

Upon noticing the ticket had won, the group’s organizer hid the ticket in a math textbook. Why? Because “no one looks in a math book.” Touché, teacher. 

Now, it doesn’t matter which RTO Insider story you pick, they are all winners.
