It was a bit of a light week after a holiday for ERO Insider, but we still have a couple stories for you.

Holden Mann was in Houston for NERC’s quarterly technical session, where he reported on discussions among leaders from the gas and electric industries on a panel about the extreme winter storms over the past few years and the potential for an ERO for natural gas. (See Gas, Electric Leaders See ‘No Silver Bullet’ for Interdependence Issues.)

Holden also covered the NERC Standards Committee’s meeting, where members granted another waiver to authorize shortening the comment and ballot periods for the ERO’s proposed standard on internal network security monitoring. (See NERC Committee Greenlights Shortened INSM Comments.)

That’s all for now, but stay tuned next week for the latest in electric reliability news. Have a great weekend!
