It was a bit of a light week ahead of a holiday for NetZero Insider, but offshore wind is the gift that keeps on giving. 

The industry gyrations of 2023 have put near-term U.S. offshore wind goals out of reach, but the sector will rebound, according to the Oceantic Network’s annual report. John Cropley went over the report, released yesterday, and covered Eversource’s fourth-quarter earnings call, held a day after it announced the sale of its offshore wind assets to Global Infrastructure Partners. 

In Washington, James Downing covered the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Energy, Climate and Grid Security, which heard from state regulators on transmission and reliability. And K Kaufmann reported on a request for information issued by the GSA and Department of Defense for 2.7 million MWh/year of carbon-free electricity in PJM.
