This past week’s NetZero Insider content has a few standouts I’d like to highlight for you today.
First, K Kaufmann thoroughly went through the Business Council for Sustainable Energy’s annual Sustainable Energy Factbook, which found that 2023 was a record-breaking year for sustainable energy in the U.S. Though, as John Cropley reports, additions of clean utility-scale generation is lagging, jeopardizing U.S. emission-reductions goals, according to a report by the Clean Investment Monitor.
Then, Jon Lamson explored how both Québec and New England are reconsidering the role of hydropower on the grid, such as storage that can help balance and firm up the growing amount of wind and solar resources.
Finally, we have articles on companies’ fourth-quarter earnings calls, with John Cropley covering Avangrid and Constellation, and James Downing on Dominion.
