If cats do, in fact, have nine lives, then one North Carolina feline used one up last Thursday.
Moments before a car was to be crushed at a local junkyard, an employee opened the hood to disconnect the battery. The man received a shock (but in a good way) when a cat jumped out from the engine and into his arms. The cat’s owner soon came calling and recovered his lost pet. All’s well that ends well.
It turns out Lilly has an affinity for automobiles, as she frequently went for rides in a car or on a motorcycle with her owner. I guess that’s why she liked hanging around the engine.
