It’s not the size that counts … | Goodwill Industries of North Central PA
|
March 14, 2024
Something is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. With that, a Pennsylvania Goodwill found it odd when people started offering $1,000 for a Lego piece marked at $14.95.
It turns out that Lego piece, a 14-karat gold Bionicle Golden Kanohi Hau mask, was originally released in 2001 and is one of only 30 in existence. It was found after a State College Goodwill store transferred a bag of jewelry to the store in DuBois in early February. After customers began offering a lot more money than what it was listed for, the store’s manager did some research and decided to put it up for auction.
After 48 bids, the anonymous winner took home the mask for $18,101, beating out the second-place bid by a single dollar. I guess … the price was right ... but opposite?
Now, there is nothing little about the amount of information in these RTO Insider news stories.
From everyone at RTO Insider, thanks for reading and enjoy the rest of your day!
