Here are some of the stories RTO Insider plans on having for you next week: 


Jon Lamson will follow along with the NEPOOL Participants Committee, which will vote on Phase 2 of its Longer-Term Transmission Planning proposal. 


John Norris will have a story on the NYISO Transmission Planning/Electric System Planning Working Groups, which will have a status update on class year and expedited deliverability studies and the ISO’s Order 2023 compliance filing. John will also check in on the New York DPS’ Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Interconnection Working Group. 


Devin Leith-Yessian will provide our PJM news with stories on the Planning Committee, Market Implementation Committee and Operating Committee. The PC will discuss changes to an issue charge on the transfer of capacity interconnection rights from deactivating generators to resources in the interconnection queue. The MIC will consider endorsing proposals to add new synchronized condenser parameter definitions to several manuals, while the OC will receive updates from staff on monthly operating metrics and security measures. 


Ayla Burnett report on CAISO’s Interconnection Process Enhancements 2023 Track 2, as staff and stakeholders continue to refine their process for how to deal with clogged interconnection queues. There will also be a California Energy Commission work group meeting to discuss a Senate bill that would fund zero-emission school buses and infrastructure. 


Holden Mann will have the details from a Talk with Texas RE webinar to discuss the findings and lessons learned from last year’s GridEx VII exercise. 


K Kaufmann will attend an EPRI seminar on “Demystifying AI in the Power Sector.” K will also attend the Healthy Homes Fair, which aims to get D.C. residents excited and engaged in home electrification projects that could be supported with federal rebates from the Inflation Reduction Act.
