A woman at a wildlife center recently got to take care of a fox kit and play dress up all in the same day.
Melissa Stanley, the executive director at the Richmond Wildlife Center in Virginia, posted a video of herself feeding an orphaned kit while wearing a fox mask. Stanley wore the mask and sat the baby on top of a stuffed animal fox in the hopes of preventing any sort of human imprinting. The measures are taken so that the kid can be reintroduced into the wild when it gets older.
It turns out the fox’s family has been trapped, and the kit may have fallen off the back of the trapper’s truck. Thankfully, the little guy is getting a second chance at life.
