Yesterday morning I woke to the news of the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge outside of Baltimore. As if the thought wasn’t unsettling enough, the video of the event is even more harrowing. 

The catastrophe hits close to home for me, as the bridge is literally 15 minutes from my house. It was an architectural landmark that could be seen from most local parks, and we took it numerous times a year to either go to Phillies games or dodge traffic on 695 westbound. And to think it just celebrated its 47th birthday four days ago. The whole scenario, from the lives affected to the economic challenges now facing the area, has rendered me rather speechless. 

I think I speak for the entire RTO Insider team when I say our thoughts are with anyone and everyone affected by this tragedy.
