While most of us were counting our Easter eggs and goodies two Sunday nights ago, it seems a group of burglars were busy counting nearly $30 million in cash they had just stolen from a facility in Los Angeles. 

In news that was new to me yesterday morning, it has been reported that robbers made away with an expected $30 million from a money storage facility in what could be the largest heist in Los Angeles history. According to reports, the thieves were able to breach the building from two locations, crack a safe and get away with hundreds of pounds of cash, all while setting off just one alarm, which was not connected to law enforcement. I’ll be interested to see how everything plays out, because as of right now, the police seem to have no leads in the case. 

Having the knowledge required to dodge the alarms - or pull off the entire job, for that matter - sounds like an inside job to me. But the only detective work I’ve done in L.A. came more than a decade ago.
