The Loch Ness Centre wants you, NASA! | Shutterstock

April 16, 2024
In its time, NASA has landed a person on the Moon and figure out how to send a satellite to a planet a billion miles away. That said, if the administration wants to do something really impressive, it should use its skills and technology to help find the Loch Ness Monster.
The Loch Ness Centre, a tour guide in the Scottish Highlands that heads the largest searches for the water creature, is hoping to attract the help of the space agency in its quest to find the thing that can’t be found. This year’s search will begin on May 30 (the 90th anniversary of Sir Edward Mountain’s first expedition) and last for four days. With 22 square miles of water to cover, it probably wouldn’t hurt to have some satellite imagery.
Would that be a severe waste of taxpayer money? Perhaps. But if you add “in the name of science” to the end of your idea, I think that makes everything OK.
Now, see what news you can find in these RTO Insider stories.
