While I wouldn’t call myself an “adrenaline junkie” or a “thrill seeker,” I certainly don’t mind doing some things that can get the blood pumping. I love rollercoasters. I have jumped off a 70-foot cliff. I have yet to skydive, though I am open to the idea. But even if I did, I couldn’t imagine that topping the feeling of riding a 93-foot crashing wave

That is what German surfer Sebastian Steudtner accomplished this February in Nazaré, Portugal. Although the official height of the wave has yet to be confirmed, it is hard to argue the footage of Steudtner shredding is nerve rackingly gnarly. If the wave is as tall as they think it was, it would break his own record for biggest wave ever ridden. Imagine a 10-story building. Now imagine riding down the side of it as it crumbles behind you. I’ll admit it … I’m jealous. 

So here’s a “shaka brah” for Steudtner. He may have taken his “ultimate ride,” but he might have to pull off an even higher one to compete with the likes of Bodhi.
