Who doesn’t enjoy a late-night snack? Well, people who live in Milan, apparently.
Much like it tried to do in 2013, the city’s government filed a legislative paper that would ban all takeaway food sales after 12:30 a.m. on weekdays and 1:30 a.m. on weekends. The ban would include things like pizza, ice cream and takeaway drinks and would force bars and restaurants to close outdoor areas. The legislation is backed by residents who say the night owls make too much noise and keep them up late. College Shawn would not like Milan.
The last time the city attempted such a ban, the mayor conceded amid public backlash. So, we will see if it passes, but if you don’t like outside noise, then do what I do … turn up the fan or AC and make a pillow sandwich with your head.
