Here are some of the stories RTO Insider plans on having for you next week:

Jon Lamson will report on both the NEPOOL Reliability and Transmission committees. The RC will discuss distributed energy resource data collection and a regional energy shortfall threshold. The TC, along with ISO-NE’s Planning Advisory Committee, have yet to post their agendas.

Michael Brooks will cover the NYISO Business Issues Committee and Operating Committee meetings. The BIC will be asked to endorse several manual revisions, while the OC’s agenda is full of presentations on studies ahead of the coming summer.

Devin Leith-Yessian will once again have his hands full with PJM. The Interconnection Process Subcommittee will meet to discuss proposals from the RTO and MN8 Energy on the transfer of capacity interconnection rights from deactivating generators to planned resources. The MIC will hold a special session on how the capacity contribution of EE resources is measured and verified, while the Deactivation Enhancements Senior Task Force will continue a discussion of the timeline deactivating resources must provide PJM and how the compensation provided by RMR contracts is calculated.

Amanda Durish Cook will have a story on the Organization of MISO States and its third annual Resource Adequacy Summit at Iowa State University. Attendees expect to hear about MISO’s recent capacity auction returning a shortfall in parts of Missouri.

Ayla Burnett will get all the details from the 2024 Pacific Offshore Wind Summit. This three-day conference will focus on advancing offshore wind off California and bring together federal officials, industry leaders and other stakeholders to discuss how the state can meet its goal of generating up to 5 GW from offshore wind by 2030. In other news, CAISO will discuss final updates to the new zonal approach being employed to refine and improve the clogged interconnection process.

James Downing will follow along with FERC’s special open meeting to vote on its long-awaited final rule on transmission planning and cost allocation, as well as an order implementing new authority from Congress on backstop siting in National Interest Electricity Transmission Corridors.

Holden Mann will tune into the NERC Standards Committee meeting, which will debate proposed actions on multiple standards development projects.

The details on all the meetings above can be found on our calendar
