Here are some of the stories RTO Insider plans on having for you next week:


Jon Lamson will follow along with a two-day New England Conference of Public Utilities Commissioners symposium that will have panels featuring many of the top energy executives and officials in the region. 


Devin Leith-Yessian will check in on the PJM Risk Management Committee, which is set to consider an issue charge regarding changes to the minimum capitalization requirements for market participants. The MRC will also vote on endorsing one of two proposals to revise how capacity obligations stemming from large load additions are assigned to load-serving entities, while the MC will consider endorsing new parameters for synchronous condensers. 


Hugh Morley will have the details from New Jersey as the state holds its first public hearing regarding updating its Energy Master Plan. 


Tom Kleckner will report on the ERCOT Technical Advisory Committee, as it will consider a rule change on voltage ride-through requirements for inverter-based resources. An ERCOT Innovation Summit will also focus on future themes that affect grid transformation, with panels of industry experts focused on essential reliability, demand flexibility, energy storage and technology. 


Ayla Burnett will have a story on the Western Conference of Public Service Commissioners. The three-day conference will feature panels from a variety of different industry experts, including discussions of what’s ahead in the energy transition, virtual power plants and green hydrogen. 


Robert Mullin will listen in on the Bonneville Power Administration’s quarterly business review call. 


K Kaufmann will check out a DOE webinar on its recent Multi-state Transportation Electrification Impact Study, which focuses on preparing the grid for light-, medium- and heavy-duty EVs. 


In other federal news, the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee will hold a hearing to examine the opportunities, risks and challenges related to the growth of electricity demand in the U.S. 


RTO Insider will also break down all the news out of FERC’s regular open meeting. 


Holden Mann will tune into a Talk with Texas RE, where staff will discuss the summer outlook for both the Texas Interconnection and overall North American system.
