Hello again from ERO Insider, your source for the latest from the world of electric reliability! That world moved a little slowly this week with the Juneteenth holiday falling square in the middle, but our team was still on the job scouting out the news you need.
That includes NERC’s annual State of Reliability report, which dropped this week with lots of data about the grid’s performance in 2023. While the ERO found that operators held up well in the face of record levels of severe weather, other trends were more troubling. Holden Mann has more from the report and the accompanying media call. (See NERC Report Notes Progress, Challenges in 2023.)
Thanks for joining us to review this shorter-than-usual week! We’ll be back next week with more of the content you need from the ERO Enterprise and beyond, so until then have a great weekend and stay safe!
