New York, New York is everything they say, and no place NetZero and the news would rather be this past week.

NYSERDA launched its eighth large-scale renewable energy solicitation June 20, seeking proposals for land-based projects to help the state meet its emission-reduction goals. 

On the same day, the Public Service Commission approved a framework to reach its goal of 6 GW of energy storage by 2030, with targets for different categories of projects and conditions for contracts. 

The next day, the U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management approved Sunrise Wind’s construction and operations plan, putting the project on course to begin producing power in 2026.
