In something resembling an interspecies Heimlich maneuver, a Michigan man has garnered internet fame for saving the life of a choking raccoon.

Bill Boski was hanging out around a campfire with two friends when a raccoon wandered into his backyard. After rummaging through the garbage and finding a snack, the raccoon began to seemingly choke on a piece of cheese. Boski sprang into action and starting patting it on the back, eventually dislodging the cheese and presumably saving its life. The men rowdily celebrated the feat — as they should — and posted a video that has since gotten more than 17 million views on TikTok. 

In honor of the event, the guys named the raccoon “Rocket” after the Marvel Comics character. Hopefully his “advanced intellect” will remind him to chew his food better next time.
