Here are some of the stories RTO Insider plans on having for you next week:


Jon Lamson will have a story on the NEPOOL Markets Committee summer meeting, which will feature a report from ISO-NE’s Internal Market Monitor, discussion of capacity auction changes and proposed amendments to the RTO’s Pay-for-Performance financial assurance policy. 


Vincent Gabrielle will check in on the NYISO ICAP/MIWG/PRLWG meeting, as well as an NYSRC Executive Committee meeting on Friday. 


Devin Leith-Yessian will cover the PJM committee week. The Planning Committee will consider endorsing the installed reserve margin and forecast pool requirements proposed by staff for the 2026/27 delivery year. The MIC will vote on endorsing a quick-fix solution to revise the 2027/28 net CONE to reflect changing financial conditions, while the Operating Committee will consider endorsing revisions to Manual 12 to reflect fuel assurance requirements for black start resources. 


Amanda Durish Cook will relay the news from the MISO Market Subcommittee, where the RTO’s Independent Market Monitor will lead a spring review of market operations and give a summer performance update. 


Tom Kleckner will report on the Texas PUC’s open meeting, which is expected to take up ERCOT’s approval of changes to the ECRS product as well as receive updates on the grid operator’s reliability standard work. 


Ayla Burnett will gather the details from a meeting of the California Public Utilities Commission’s EPIC Policy + Innovation Coordination Working Group. The PUC will discuss the Electric Program Investment Charge, which supports the development of new, emerging and pre-commercial clean energy innovations in the state. 


Robert Mullin will cover the first in a series of four West-Wide Governance Pathways Initiative workshops to discuss options for designing the stakeholder process for a “regional organization” that would eventually assume governance of CAISO’s WEIM/EDAM. 


K Kaufmann will follow along with an ACORE webinar on the impact of solar tariffs on the U.S. industry, as well as a U.S. Energy Association virtual press briefing on emerging technologies in the energy space. 


Holden Mann will tune into a “Talk with Texas RE: Cybersecurity Threats” webinar that will discuss the current cybersecurity threat landscape and best practices to mitigate the danger of hostile actors.
