Welcome to the world, Tochka and Timur.
Two Siberian tiger cubs had their first public experience yesterday at the Cologne Zoo in Germany as the duo explored their enclosure with their mother. The cubs, which were born in April, were seen taking in the sights and venturing around their pad within the watchful eye of their 13-year-old mother, Katinka.
I am not necessarily a fan of zoos, but I do realize the protection they provide for endangered species such as these tigers. In fact, there are only an estimated 250 to 500 left in the Russian wilderness. Even though this cat could have me for lunch, it deserves its place in the world.
