While the odds obviously change with regard to how good you are, the chances of an average golfer sinking a hole-in-one are 12,500-to-1. Those odds increase 1,360-fold to a staggering 17 million-to-1 if you want to see two players from the same group albatross a par 3. Now, what if those two are married?! 

While that last factor hasn’t been accounted for, Bill and Ann Gray together became the “one” in 17 million when the couple aced the 16th hole as part of a foursome at the Capital Canyon Club. Ann poured her shot in first when she sank an 82-yard tee shot with a 7-wood. One shot later back at the men’s tee, her husband Bill used his 9-iron to drop in a 140-yard shot and double circle his “1” on the scorecard. The feat was accomplished just in time, as the skies opened up and forced the golfers into the clubhouse. 

The duo celebrated with $800 worth of champagne. A meager price to pay for the holy grail of golfing.
