Back in June, I wrote about a Chinese flight being delayed more than hour because a possum was loose on the plane. At the time I thought it was the most aggravating reason for a flight to be delayed. Well, roughly two months later, I stand corrected.
More than 200 flights were delayed and another 36 were canceled in Japan after a pair of scissors went missing. Yeah, you read that right. Apparently, stores in the Japanese airport of New Chitose have a very strict system when it comes to cutting things, and if the scissors aren’t replaced when they are done being used, the world must come to a halt. To top it all off, and as one would come to expect, the scissors were eventually found in the same store they went missing. I don’t even have an adjective to describe this story, that’s how ridiculous it is. Well, I guess there’s one.
What it sounds like is somebody needed to cut somebody else some slack.
