Here are some of the stories RTO Insider plans on having for you next week:

Jon Lamson will follow along with the NEPOOL Participants Committee as it features reports from ISO-NE officials on grid operations and the 2025 budget, along with a vote on GIS changes to accommodate the transfer of hourly certificates.

Vincent Gabrielle will have a story on the NYISO Transmission Planning Advisory Subcommittee, which figures to discuss the Reliability Needs Assessment as it figured to flag a reliability violation by 2034. Elsewhere, the Budget Priorities Working Group will continue to discuss the 2025 budget.

Devin Leith-Yessian will have the news out of the PJM Reserve Certainty Senior Task Force and its discussion of a proposal on adding hourly notification times to the day-ahead energy market. Meanwhile, the RTO’s Transmission Expansion Advisory Committee will hold a special session to provide stakeholder education on FERC Order 1920.

Amanda Durish Cook will stay on top of the MISO subregional planning meetings, as the RTO is set to discuss the projects in its now $7 billion 2024 Transmission Expansion Plan in a series of subregional meetings that begin Sept. 5.

Ayla Burnett will report on the CAISO Interconnection Process Enhancements 2023 Track 3A Working Group. ISO staff and stakeholders will continue to work through the details of how to solve transmission plan deliverability allocation issues related to long-lead-time projects that want to get in the interconnection queue.
