BOEM last week set the first-ever Oregon offshore wind energy lease auction for Oct. 15. The two lease areas being offered hold a potential capacity of more than 3.1 GW of energy generation if fully developed, John Cropley reports.
DOE awarded more than $240 million in grants to promote the adoption of building performance standards. Funded by the Inflation Reduction Act, the 19 awards for state and local programs aim to help cities and states reduce emissions and improve the efficiency and resilience of existing commercial and multifamily buildings, K Kaufmann writes.
