In an epic display of fatherly devotion, an England man spent three days glued to an arcade game and racked up nearly 30,000 tickets in the name of cheaply made kids toys. 

Philly Jones and his family were spending time at Butlin’s Skegness resort in the U.K. last fall when he tried his hand at an arcade game. After hitting the game’s jackpot on his first two attempts, Jones was hooked and spent the majority of his “family time” playing for some 72 hours and winning 27,890 tickets in the process. Jones played so much that staff had to refill the game’s tickets multiple times. In the end, Jones’ two sons — along with a few other kids who stopped to watch him play — walked away with a bunch of toys. 

There was no word on the amount of money Jones spent playing or if it was included in the stay, but usually you spend more money accumulating the tickets than you would buying the toys outright. Trust me. I know from experience.
