Can you imagine strapping hundreds of these to your body? No, me neither. | Shutterstock

I am not saying I would ever become one, but if I were an international smuggler, this is one job I certainly would not accept.
Police in Peru recently arrested a 28-year-old South Korea man after he was stopped at Jorge Chávez International Airport trying to smuggle 320 tarantulas, 110 centipedes and nine bullet ants — all strapped to his abdomen. Officials thought the man looked “bulky” (Hundreds of bags and tubes strapped to you will do that.) and proceeded to detain and search the man. Some of these things look like they are the size of my hand! How the heck did he have hundreds of them?!
I am no fan of evil-looking spiders in general (thanks, “Arachnophobia”), so there is absolutely no way I would ever consider attaching them to my body … not to mention while committing a crime. There isn’t enough alcohol in the world that can calm those nerves.
