Here are some of the stories RTO Insider plans on having for you next week:
Jon Lamson will listen in on the NEPOOL Markets Committee and its discussion on the capacity auction reform project. Jon will also attend the Northeast Energy and Commerce Association's Power Markets Conference, which will feature talks on power market design and the clean energy transition.
Vincent Gabrielle will have a story on the NYISO Operating Committee, which is expected to approve the final LCR values, along with discussions on the IRM and iCAF markets for the rest of the year. Vincent will also check in on the ICAP Working Group meeting.
Devin Leith-Yessian will report on the PJM Reserve Certainty Senior Task Force, which will continue to work on long-term changes to the RTO's reserve market.
Amanda Durish Cook will dive into the MISO Resource Adequacy Subcommittee, which will discuss preparations for its 2025/26 capacity auction.
K Kaufmann will follow along with Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee hearings on the expected nomination of Doug Burgum as the secretary of the interior and Chris Wright as the secretary of energy.
Holden Mann will tune into a SERC Winter Reliability Assessment Webinar, as well as a Technical Talk with RF. SERC staff will present key findings from the regional entity's latest Winter Reliability Assessment in its webinar, while ReliabilityFirst staff will discuss NERC's new report on distributed energy resource aggregators, along with RF's latest Long-Term Reliability Assessment.
In the West, Henrik Nilsson will cover the monthly meeting of the Committee of State Representatives, which deals with issues related to the Western Power Pool’s Western Resource Adequacy Program.
The RTO Insider team will also gather all the details from FERC’s last open meeting under the Biden administration.
