NetZero Insider’s K Kaufmann was in D.C. last week for the National Association of State Energy Officials’ Energy Policy Outlook Conference, where she heard about the “180-degree opposite view of energy and climate issues” that the Trump administration will have from a DOE official. There was also plenty of talk about data centers and how states can meet the increased demand.


Nuclear was also in the news last week, and John Cropley was all over it. Georgia Power proposed to uprate four of its nuclear reactors in its 2025 IRP, while several Arizona utilities announced they are joining forces for a grant through DOE’s Generation III+ Small Modular Reactor Program. And yesterday, TVA and Type One announced a cooperative agreement for a potential commercial nuclear fusion plant.
