Happy Friday from ERO Insider, your source for the latest news from the world of electric reliability! We hope your weather has been as warm and comfortable as ours was here in Atlanta this week. Let’s take a look at our reporters’ coverage of the ERO Enterprise and beyond!
In a joint FERC-NERC workshop this week, electric industry stakeholders shared their thoughts on FERC’s proposed supply chain risk management standards. Holden Mann sat in on the gathering, and he’s got more on the industry’s priorities. (See FERC-NERC Supply Chain Speakers Emphasize Open Process.)
NERC’s Standards Committee held its monthly meeting March 19, with leaders giving an update on the eventful development process for the ERO’s cold weather standard. Click through to see why the newest revision may come in slightly after the deadline. (See NERC: Cold Weather Standards Now Expected in April.)
SC members also agreed to expand several active standard development teams, but not without dissention from some attendees. Follow the link to learn about their objections. (See NERC Standards Committee Approves Additions to Standards Teams.)
Thanks for joining us! We’ll be checking back in all next week with reports from SERC Reliability’s Board of Directors meeting in New Orleans and more updates from the exciting world of electric reliability. Have a great weekend and we’ll see you then!
