NetZero Insider’s John Cropley was in Albany last week for Infocast’s New York Energy Summit, and he cranked out several pieces about the event. 

Cropley reported there was more progress on infrastructure siting for attendees to talk about than in previous years at the event, as this year’s was held nearly one year after the enactment of the RAPID Act.  

There was also the change in federal energy policy since last year to talk about, but speakers also reacted to breaking news at the event, as President Trump issued an executive order targeting policy decisions in climate change-focused states that named New York specifically. 

And offshore wind was, as usual, a major topic of discussion, with stakeholders urging patience and a slow-and-steady approach to getting facilities built.
