The big NetZero Insider news from last week was, of course, the Trump administration’s move to halt construction off the New York coast of the fully permitted Empire Wind 1 offshore wind farm.

John Cropley reported on that, as well as a GAO study on the impacts of offshore wind development. The study was conducted at the request of 21 members of the House of Representatives in 2023. 

And Amanda Durish Cook reported on the Louisiana Public Service Commission abruptly pulling the plug on its long-awaited, statewide energy efficiency program, just weeks after selecting a contractor.
