Regardless of how much of an “animal lover” someone is, I find it hard to believe anyone likes bees. Sure, they make the honey for your Cheerios, but they also killed Thomas J and are responsible for an average of 72 deaths per year in the U.S.

Bees struck again Tuesday night, as a swarm gathered on a net behind home plate and delayed the Arizona Diamondbacks’ game with the Los Angeles Dodgers by about two hours. The D’Backs contacted beekeeper Matt Hilton, who was at his son’s T-ball game 45 minutes away, to come remove the swarm. Hilton arrived to a standing ovation and sucked up the bees with a vacuum. He was then asked to throw out the first pitch. Not a bad tip.
